Author Notes - Michael Anderle

Frankfurt, Germany (Sunday night before Book Fair)
Thank you for reading this series and all the way to the back of this book!
I’m presently in Frankfurt eating at an Italian Restaurant (Fontana di Trevi). Well, I’m actually waiting for my dessert at the moment typing up these author notes.
I like eating in Europe as there is never any stress on rushing to finish. On the contrary, I’m often asking my wife ‘where’s the bill?’ and she replies they won’t bring a bill unless we ask. You would think as many times as I’ve asked the question I would have learned the answer. Apparently not, I asked again at the Steak and Seafood restaurant just last night.
<Sigh.>
We arrived in Frankfurt at about 4:30PM yesterday (9 hours ahead of Las Vegas time.) We left the condo in Las Vegas Friday at 11:30 AM, arrived Frankfurt at approximately 7:30 AM Saturday.
I thought I had been on the road for 24 hours, it was merely 19. It’s a good thing I lie for a living, I have some sort of excuse for bad math (other than the obvious - foreign time zones completely mess me up.)
The jet-lag (so far) has been pretty annoying, but not overwhelming. Mind you, this is after a four-and-a-half-hour nap in the middle of the day.
I am not a world-weary world traveler by a long shot. I’m that ‘neuvo-world traveler’ who hates time changes and has to deal with it everywhere I go. Heck, just going from Pacific to Central time change sucks for me (2 hours difference!). I’m about as turtle when it comes to travel as I can get (you know, the kind that sticks their head in and wants to ignore the world?).
I am the ultimate example of an introvert.
However, once I’m wherever I’m supposed to be, I’m just as happy to call that home as anything. Until I’m not.
Then I want my real home with my real restaurants that I am used to eating that are on their way to making me a nice figure… A round figure.
Kinda like a ball with two arms and two legs rolling around. The hands and feet push me off of obstacles.
I’m so damned full from dinner, I am introducing how I feel post food intake into this set of author notes. UHHHHGGGG…. I need another nap! (It’s 9:40 PM, so I suppose that constitutes sleep here, but for my body it believes I am in mid-afternoon.)
Either way, I want to be horizontal and snoozing.
This series is / was the start of projects that are a bit more male oriented. Starting with The Birth of Heavy Metal, then Team Savage and finally Cryptid Assassin (coming in the future, first book finished. I have to decide whether to bring them out some time apart, or close together (and wait on the release.)
If you get a chance, put Cryptid Assassin on your to-be-read pile. It’s making me laugh (or at least smile) thinking about the story right now ;-)
