3. Brown Rice with Cumin, Coriander and Turmeric

Ingredients
1 cup brown rice
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric
Method
- Cook the rice as described, remembering that brown rice takes longer and absorbs more water.
- In a mortar and pestle bash up the cumin and coriander until finely ground. Toast them on a dry pan with the turmeric on a medium/high heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Add the rice and give a good stir or toss until the rice and spices are well combined and heated through.
