Cut-out Cutters


1/// Lightly dust a work surface with icing (confectioners’) sugar, knead and soften the sugarpaste (fondant) and then roll it out to a thickness of 3 mm (1/8 in).

2/// With your chosen cutter push down firmly onto the sugarpaste and gently move the cutter back and forth to ensure it cuts all the way through the sugarpaste.

3/// Peel away the extra sugarpaste and leave the shapes to firm up before removing them with a palette knife and using to decorate the cake, cupcakes or cookies.
