Vanilla Sponge Cake
with Strawberry Ganache

strawberry ganache preparation time: 1 hour 35 minutes
chocolate ganache preparation time: 18 minutes
decorating time: 40 minutes
Prepare the cake by filling and covering it with the strawberry ganache.
Warm half of the chocolate ganache slightly in a bain-marie. Place the cake on a wire rack and pour the warm chocolate ganache over the top and side of the cake. Leave to set for 15 minutes.
Prepare a piping (icing) bag with a closed star nozzle and fill it with the remaining, slightly set, chocolate ganache. Pipe the whole top of the cake with roses and fill the gaps with stars.
Cover the cake with strawberry ganache.
Pour warm chocolate ganache over the cake.
