Lining a Round Tin

/// Place the tin on top of a sheet of non-stick baking paper, draw a circle round it and cut out the shape with scissors.

/// Lightly grease the inside of the tin. Cut a strip of baking paper long enough to cover the tin’s circumference exactly and the height plus an additional 1 cm (½ in) to overhang. Fold over the extra 1 cm (½ in) along the long edge.

/// Use scissors to snip diagonal cuts at 2.5 cm (1 in) intervals along the folded part of the strip of baking paper.

/// Line the inside of the tin, placing the strip around the edge with the snipped part sitting down onto the lightly greased base of the tin. Place the circular piece of baking paper on the base of the tin.
