Dear Logan and Cade,
I am the son of Holocaust survivors. If they were alive today, I have no doubt my parents, of blessed memory, would have written and thanked you for your courage for speaking out against the Nazi Final Solution debate. So, in their stead, I felt it was important to contact you.
Both my parents were protected and hidden by heroic non-Jews who risked their lives for the sole purpose of doing what is morally right. Here you are, decades and decades later, doing the same.
There is absolutely no justification for this assignment, but please know that it pains me to read how your teacher’s misguided attempt to teach history has resulted in him being demonized. Life, I have learned, isn’t always so simple. I will be reaching out to him in the hope that I can be of assistance.
