Recipes for Desires

Everyone has desires for themselves and their loved ones. Desires are hopes and dreams of what we think will make our lives happier, fuller, and easier. These recipes have each been used for hundreds or thousands of years to help people obtain that which they passionately desire.

Abundance

Abundance is something that we all pray for, whether it is an abundance of love, money, health, respect, career goals, or a million other desires. Certain oils and fragrances have been used throughout time to help bring abundance into our personal existence. These oils have religious and holy significance in many cultures. For thousands of years, they have also been used to bring an abundance of positivity into a person’s life and to eliminate all negativity. These oils boost good health for the immune system, lift the spirits, and diminish feelings of low self-esteem. Try them yourself to see if you can achieve an abundance of that which you desire.

Essential Oils

Black pepper, cedarwood, cinnamon bark, cinnamon leaf, clove, orange, and ylang-ylang

Abundance Bath Bombs

These bath and shower bombs have the tranquilizing, sedative, antirheumatic, anti-spasmodic, and tonic therapeutic properties needed to bring you to a place of ease, comfort, and enjoyment. These fizzy little pieces of heaven can help you to relax and open your heart to receive that which you ask for. Make these little treasures as gifts for those you wish to have an abundance of good in their lives. Bath bombs are inexpensive to make yourself and can bring you a world of positivity and goodness.

Yield: 12–18 bombs

Recipe

1 cup baking soda

½ cup citric acid

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup Epsom salts, fine grained

15 drops orange oil

15 drops ylang-ylang oil

½ teaspoon carrier oil

¾ teaspoon water

spray bottle (water)

4 drops food coloring (optional)

In a large bowl, mix your dry ingredients together until fine with a whisk. In a tiny jar with a lid, add your wet ingredients and shake to mix. You may add a couple drops of food coloring to the wet jar. Extremely slowly, add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients while whisking rapidly. If fizzing takes place, whisk until it is mixed. Once the ingredients are well mixed—it should be the texture of slightly damp sand—add a spray or two of water. Once the mixture is the consistency you like, form into balls; I just smash mine down into ice cube trays or muffin tins. You can use cute molds, but you must work rapidly as mixture will dry out quickly. Leave in open air, uncovered, in a room where they will not be disturbed for 12–24 hours. Once they are dry, you can place 1–2 bombs into your bath or directly into the spray of the shower and they will fizz and release their aromatic and healing properties. Store unused portion in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

This recipe is an all-time favorite to get that aroma diffusing around you as you seek abundance with your prayers of gratitude for all that you have yet to receive.

Yield: ¼ cup

Recipes

3 drops agrimony oil

Place the ingredients into a mason jar, stirring well with a whisk. Carefully poke holes into the lid, use this as a shaker, and shake the ingredients into pillowcases or under sheet areas as needed. You can get a piece of plastic wrap and place it over the jar and under the lid to keep powder from spilling out when not in use. Store in a glass jar or container with a tight-fitting lid in a cool, dark, and dry area for up to 3 months.

After using these salts, you should have insight into what direction you should go. The powerful circulatory, stimulating, tonic, antidepressant, cordial, nervine, sedative, and sudorific properties will help you maintain well-being and peace while seeking your answers.

Bathe My Mind

Relax in the tub but don’t worry about the answer; the correct answer will come to you as you soak in these divination-enhancing essential oils. The calming and healing therapeutic properties will relax you as you let your mind drift. By the time you towel off, you will have a clearer understanding of which direction you should proceed in.

Yield: 1 application

Recipe

As you begin to fill the tub with water, pour the chosen essential oils and carrier oil into the running water. Run a warm, not hot, bath. Water that is too hot will cause the essential oils to dissipate. You may add 1 tablespoon of milk to the water; this ensures that the essential oils will not stick to your skin, but will mix with the water. You may soak in the water as long as you are comfortable. Dry your feet well once you get out of the water, as the oils will cause them to be slippery, increasing your chances of falling. Rinse the tub of any remaining oils.

This essential oil has been known to be a quick way to open your mind and allow you to accept the truth. When faced with two tough choices, this mind-opening oil will help you to calmly assess the pros and cons of both sides of the situation. Pour the essential oils and the carrier oil into a small glass container, bowl, or jar. Swirl to mix the ingredients and use to massage lightly the area desired, such as temples, neck, chest, back, or soles of feet. I Am Blessed Bath Bombs

As you luxuriate in your bath, be thankful. As you smell the aromas of these oils that have been used in rituals for a millennium, be thankful. As you ponder the path of your soul, be thankful. As you think of the food you will prepare when you get through with your bath, be thankful. Above all else, be thankful.

Yield: 8–12 bombs

Recipe

1 cup baking soda

½ cup citric acid

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup Epsom salts, fine grained

15 drops frankincense oil

15 drops myrrh oil

½ teaspoon carrier oil

¾ teaspoon water

spray bottle (water)

In a large bowl, mix your dry ingredients together until fine with a whisk. In a tiny jar with a lid, add your wet ingredients and shake to mix. You may add a couple drops of food coloring to the wet jar. Extremely slowly, add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients while whisking rapidly. If fizzing takes place, whisk until it is mixed. Once the ingredients are well mixed, it should be the texture of slightly damp sand. Add a spray or two of water if needed.

Vitality Bath and Shower Bombs

This recipe brings laughter, youthfulness, and strong, active emotions to the user. Bath bombs are so popular because they bring exuberance to an otherwise mundane experience. Couple that with life-enhancing essential oils and you will have a treat to remember.

Yield: 8–12 bombs

Recipe

1 cup baking soda

½ cup citric acid

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup Epsom salts, fine grained

8 drops orange oil

8 drops pink grapefruit oil

8 drops rose oil

½ teaspoon carrier oil

¾ teaspoon water

spray bottle (water)

In a large bowl, mix your dry ingredients together until fine with a whisk. In a tiny jar with a lid, add your wet ingredients and shake to mix. You may add a couple drops of food coloring to the wet jar. Extremely slowly, add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients while whisking rapidly. If fizzing takes place, whisk until it is mixed. Once the ingredients are well mixed, it should be the texture of slightly damp sand. Add a spray or two of water if needed.
