Mmm, brown sugar, apples and cinnamon.
4 apples, cored, peeled and sliced
1/2 c. butter, softened and divided
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 t. cinnamon
6 eggs
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. milk
3 T. sugar
Combine apples, 1/4 cup butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a microwave-safe bowl; heat on high setting about 2 to 4 minutes, until tender. Spoon into a lightly greased 13"x9" baking pan and set aside. Combine eggs, flour, milk, sugar and remaining butter; blend until smooth and spread over apple mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
Old-fashioned salt & pepper shakers make the sweetest vases for tiny blooms. Just fill the shakers with water and slip the flower stems through the holes in the lids!
