Sweet Potato Bake

The sausage in this recipe adds a different taste to the combination of sweet potatoes and apples. We always double this recipe!

2 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced

3 apples, cored, peeled and sliced

1 lb. ground sausage, browned and drained

2 T. sugar

1 T. all-purpose flour

1/4 t. cinnamon

1/4 t. salt

1/2 c. water

Arrange sweet potatoes, apples and sausage in a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Combine remaining ingredients; spoon over top. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, or until sweet potatoes and apples are tender. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Here’s an easy way to help everyone keep track of their own beverage glass...give each glass a name tag. Make tags out of construction paper with a shaped paper punch, available at crafts stores. Write names on tags, and use a hole punch to make small holes. Thread wired ribbon through the holes, then secure to the glass stems.
