THE JUICE LADY’S BIG BOOK OF JUICES AND GREEN SMOOTHIES SHOPPING GUIDE

PEOPLE HAVE ASKED me many times to provide a shopping guide to help them get started juicing. Below is a basic list to get you to the supermarket, farmer’s market, or local grocer and home again with some essential ingredients to begin making juice. This list should provide enough produce for one person to juice for about a week. Be sure to check out the recipes before you shop so you can add the specific items you’ll need to make the recipes you want to try.

• 5–10 pounds organic carrots

• 7 lemons or limes; or 3 or 4 of each

• 7 cucumbers

• 1 bunch celery

• 2 bunches chard or collard greens

• 1 bunch parsley

• 1 big ginger root

• 7 apples (green are lower in sugar)
