SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES MENTIONED, QUOTED, OR CITED

In the first session of the Thirty-First Congress there were 60 senators and 230 representatives, many of whom never participated in any part of the session. Forty-eight of the senators, or 80 percent, and 125 of the representatives, or 54.3 percent, are mentioned, quoted, or cited in this study. Altogether, this study draws on 59.7 percent of the members of Congress.
