JESUS CALLED THE centurion’s faith “great faith”! The centurion said to Jesus, “Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed” (Matt. 8:8). Great faith is simply having faith in God’s Word. God wants us to have the same faith as the centurion had. God wants us to have confidence in the authority of His Word. God is telling us to “Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee” (Matt. 8:13).

Heavenly Father, I recognize by faith that God is worthy of all honor, praise, and worship as the Creator and Sustainer and End of all things. I recognize by faith that God loved me and chose me in Christ before time began, according to Ephesians 1:1–7. I recognize by faith that God has proven His love to me in sending His Son to die in my place, whereby every provision has already been made for my past, present, and future needs through His representative work whereby I have been quickened, raised, and seated with Christ the Anointed One (Rom. 5:6–11; 8:28–39). I recognize by faith that since I have received Christ as my Lord and Savior, I believe God’s words when He says I am healed, delivered, and sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ.
