DAY 16

THERE’S HEALING POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

THE NAME OF Jesus belongs to you as a Christian, and you have the right to use it; but you need to know the power and authority of that name.

Jesus said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:13–14).

In the early church, healing was used as a means to advertise the gospel as well as a means to bless and help people. Peter knew that there is power in the name of Jesus. Peter used the authority in that name to command sickness and disease to go.

Read: Acts 3:1–16

To whom does the name of Jesus belong?

In Acts 3:2–8, when Peter demanded healing for the lame man in the name of Jesus, he didn’t demand anything of God. To whom was he making the demand?

Let Us Pray!

Heavenly Father, it is Your will for us to walk in health. Thank You for providing health and healing for us through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. In the name of Jesus I speak total restoration to my body.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
