IT TAKES AN ACT OF OBEDIENCE TO RELEASE YOUR FAITH
WE MUST BELIEVE what the Scriptures are telling us. When the Scriptures told us that by the stripes of Jesus Christ we are healed, we must believe. The Bible tells us that we are a new creature, old things have passed away, we have become new inside and out. The Scriptures tell us to put away all filthiness and rampant outgrowth of naughtiness and receive the engrafted Word which is able to save us and bring healing to us (James 1:21–22, AMP).
Many times the Lord will tell you to do something, whisper a word into your ears—“Drink some water,” “Don’t eat that last piece of pie.” Do we obey and stop eating or pick up a glass of water? Sometimes our body is telling us it needs something; do we stop to see what our body is telling us? When we are having a headache most of the time our body is telling us to drink water.
God told Naaman to go dip in the muddy Jordan (2 Kings 5:1–19). If Naaman had not obeyed, he would not have been healed.
When the Spirit of God tells someone to do a certain thing, it usually involves an act of obedience to release that person’s faith. When God tells you to do something and you act upon it, you will be healed.
Be obedient to the Word (Deut. 30:19–20; Heb. 10:35–39; Ezek. 36:26–28; Ps. 34:1–22).
