MANY HAVE ACTUALLY allowed sickness to become their identity. John 5 tells the story of a man who owned his sickness for thirty-eight years. The Bible says that he lay at the pool in Bethesda among a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, and paralyzed, waiting for an angel to stir up the water. The first person to step into the water after it was stirred was made well.
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

Do you own/accept your sickness?
What could the man at the pool have done?
What would you have done if it was you who lay sick at the pool?
Let Us Pray!
Heavenly Father, give me deliverance and freedom from all these bondages in the name of Christ Jesus according to John 16:33. Deliver me from a life of sickness, affliction, diseases, iniquities, trespasses, and transgressions.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
