And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations . . . .Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

THE TREE OF life was used to sustain eternal life and healing for God’s people. God’s plan was for man to live free from sickness and death. When He made the earth, God put everything man would need to keep him alive and well. Think about it; the leaves on the tree of life were for healing. But because of man’s fall, sickness came.

If you eat the right foods and read the Word of God, you will have good health and life. Eat the wrong foods, say the wrong things, you will have sickness and death (Prov. 12:12–14).

Father God, thank You for the tree of life that brings healing to my body. Thank You for Your Word that brings eternal life. Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sickness. Therefore I refuse to allow sickness to dominate my body, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
