SLAW

2 heads cabbage

1 large red onion

2 cups (383 g) sugar

DRESSING

1 cup (236 ml) apple cider vinegar

1 cup (236 ml) vegetable oil

2 tbsp (30 g) salt

3 tbsp (47 g) yellow mustard

1 tbsp (7 g) celery salt

To make the slaw, shred the cabbage and red onion. Place it in a large bowl and mix. Sprinkle with the sugar and let it sit for 2 hours.

To make the dressing, after 2 hours, place all of the dressing ingredients in a saucepan and boil for 1 minute. Pour the dressing evenly over the cabbage mixture—don’t stir. Cover and let it sit for 24 hours; then stir and serve.
