Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
½ c. wheat germ
1 ½ c. whole wheat flour
½ c. raisins
1/3 c. sunflower seeds, raw
¼ c. flax seeds
1 ½ c. rolled oats
1 egg
1/3 c. honey
½ c. safflower oil
½ c. butter
1 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
- Cream together the egg, honey, oil, and butter until they become fluffy. Slowly fold in the raisins, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, flax seeds, and rolled oats.
- Next, add in the baking powder, wheat germ, and flour. You will notice that the dough is stiff.
- Form into small lumps and place onto a cookie sheet and press it down with a fork and water and to keep them from sticking.
- Turn the oven on to 350 degrees and place the cookies inside. Bake for about ten minutes before taking the cookie sheet out of the oven and letting the cookies cool down before serving.
