Practical Stuff

 

I admit that up to this point my general attitude might be characterised as iconoclastic and somewhat obstreperous, perhaps even negative. I have been regaling the reader with polemic articles concerning all sorts of things EXCEPT that for which nearly all students search, namely truly useful, practical and successful tips for improved playing.

It is perhaps therefore time for me to switch mode to a more constructive approach, and—finally—to offer the reader some practical, and hopefully useful stuff.

I have waited until now because I wanted to set the stage first and it is my hope that the following material will now make more sense to those who wish to “blow their OWN horns”.

But a warning: I am not going to stop being “heretical”.
