Printing on t-shirts is a fantastic way to bring instant originality to an ordinary item. You can experiment and have fun with all sorts of ideas for turning t-shirts into unique items of individual clothing. For this project I have used a happy sunflower design that would be perfect in a number of colours, and would work well on any t-shirt size – so make one for everyone you know while you are at it!
1. Using the Sunflower design, prepare your screen with the design, as described in the Screen Filler Technique section.
2. Place a protective piece of newsprint paper between the two layers of the t-shirt to prevent paint coming through, then print the sunflower onto the t-shirt. Leave to dry before heat setting.
