If no one knows about the dire situation that turtles are in, nothing will change. Educating the public is perhaps the most important way that turtle rescue centers and conservation organizations can gain support. When people are aware of a problem, they can take steps to change it, and when many people take those steps together, change is much easier to achieve.
Education and conservation go hand in hand, with efforts in one area supporting efforts in another.
