I NEED A CIGARETTE

image

Damn these fits

Walk till my feet bleed

Along the endless streets

I need to fix this nicotine machine

There isn’t one dime in my pocket

Not one cigarette in my hand

I feel like some damn rat

Just simply trapped within a nicotine fixation

Nicotine to me, the human test subject

Cheese just dangles at the end of a shotgun barrel

All I want is that cheese

An arm’s reach away

Give me that nicotine cheese, PLEASE....

Ready to gnaw my way free from NICOTINE

An impossible feat

Begging, pleading

No one seems to give a damn

They don’t know the pain

Out of the blue

Then don’t ya know it

As I’m on sunset

The Big BLVD

Another homeless prick comes to me

Smacks me in the arm

Making some killer statement

“Like hey man, you got a cigarette?”

Time for the dance with my raging madness

“Hey man, for 5 dollars you can have a cigarette!’

“I don’t have 5 dollars! Why charging me 5 dollars?”

“So, I can go buy a pack and give you one!”

“Dude, if I had 5 dollars I could get a pack that’d be like 20 cigs.  Why would I only get 1?

“Exactly! This is what I’m talking about!”

“Brah, dude, what you talking about? This makes no sense; no sense. I want a damn cigarette, brah!”

“Exactly Fucker, think shit is free or something?

No wonder society is screwed with clowns running around

wanting for nothing!  As if this a Dire Straits song”

The bum walks away mumbling

Some shit that didn’t make sense

Must be one of those lizard alien breeds

Walking the L.A land

I would like to feel bad

I should feel bad

Not really trying to be the douche

Though, no nicotine

Is raging me bad

In the joint, I knew this guy, he had no money.  He was lazy and wouldn’t take the jobs offered.  Guy would dig through the ashtrays, pulling the butts and lighting them up.
