Gwen’s eyes fluttered open. She watched her lover’s chest rise and fall with each rhythmic breath he took. She glanced to the window and was relieved it was still dark outside.
For the past several weeks, they’d spent every available moment together. Any time she wasn’t working, and he wasn’t training, they were together in this cabin making love. In slightly under two weeks, they’d no longer have to sneak around, they’d be married.
Inhaling deeply, she took in the stimulating masculine aroma that filled the room. Her lover’s scent alone was enough to start her to coil with pleasure. Thinking of pleasure, she placed her hand over her stomach. When should she tell him she was late? Since they’d be married the Saturday after next, she wasn’t too worried about it. But still? If their baby came early, people would know, would talk.
She gave herself a mental headshake. She was only a day late. That happened sometimes—rarely. Overall, her menstrual cycle was predictable. When she marked the calendar, she generally knew exactly when to expect her monthly visitor. The fact of the matter was, she was late, and with as many times they’d made love in the past couple of weeks, without protection, conceiving a child would not be out of the question. Honestly, she couldn’t be happier about it if it turned out to be true.
Jack stirred. She lifted her head and stretched her neck to press her lips lightly to his as she reached down and wrapped her fingers around his shaft. It instantly grew in length and hardened.
Her lover’s mouth opened wider and pressed more firmly to hers. The kiss turned hotter and wetter. She stroked his shaft harder and faster. He groaned into her mouth. Loving that response, she kept the pace, then ran her thumb over the tip of his penis. He groaned again and pulled her on top of him.
Jack guided her up to straddle him, then he grabbed hold of his dick and held it in place for her to slide down on him. Her already slick folds made it easy to take him in. As she rose up and down, her lover reached up and took her breasts in his hands massaging them in tempo with her movements. Her nipples hardened, heightening her awareness.
This was the first time they’d made love this way, and she liked it. She liked being in control of the pace. She liked the way his large, calloused hands squeezed her breasts and scraped across her nipples, causing her body to wind tighter in its core with each caress.
As if her body took over from her brain, she began to rise and fall faster.
Jack sat up, pulled one of his hands from her breast, and replaced it with his mouth. His scorching tongue lapped over her nipple. Then, he moved his mouth over to her other breast.
“Oh God, Jack.”
She dug her fingertips into his shoulders.
He suckled her breast harder.
Her breaths came quicker.
In one swift motion, he’d flipped her over onto her back and pumped into her fast and hard.
Liquid heat surged in her veins. Pure pleasure tore through her, causing her inner walls to clamp down on him. Her whole body pulsed and spasmed with pleasure. These fulfilling vibrations were the strangest and most blissful sensations. She hadn’t a clue sex would be so gratifying—satisfying. She couldn’t get enough of it.
Jack’s body stilled, then jerked as he poured himself into her.
He collapsed to her side. His chest rose and fell with quick breaths as he wove his fingers among hers and pulled their hands to his damp torso.
She felt like a puddle of melted butter, unable to move her slackened limbs.
After a few minutes, he lifted his head and pushed himself up on his elbow. Then he leaned forward and softly pressed his lips to hers. “I love you, Gwennie, and I can’t wait for the day I can wake up with you in my arms in the morning.”
Sadness filled her chest. She knew what he was saying even though he hadn’t actually said the words—she needed to get her pleasure-filled relaxed body out of bed and home before morning. Her languid muscles protested.
“Just a few more minutes.” She batted her eyes. “Please.”
Her lover chuckled. “Don’t do that. Don’t look at me like that. It’s hard enough as it is.”
She lifted the corners of her mouth into the best seductive smile she could conjure up. “What, you’re hard again already?” she teased as she ran her tongue over her upper lip.
Dramatically, he threw back the covers, then winked at her. “You don’t play fair.”
“Get used to it,” she replied. He was putty in her hands and she liked it.
With reluctance, she flung her feet over the side of the bed and removed herself from the warmth of the mattress they’d practically lit on fire.
Soon, she wouldn’t have to do such, she could wake up in the morning wrapped in the comfort of her soon-to-be husband’s loving arms. But for now, he’d drive her home, to her parents’ house, where she’d wake up in her bed, alone at the crack of dawn.
With a toe-curling kiss, Jack left her mindless in the entryway. She tiptoed up the creaky steps to her room, shed her clothes, and slipped between the cool sheets.
After what felt like only minutes but was a couple of hours, she heard her parents milling about downstairs. The coffee aroma wafting into her nostrils pulled her from the bed. Well, that and the fact she needed to get ready for her shift at the hospital. Then after, she’d see him, again. She couldn’t wait.
She hadn’t taken two steps from her bed when her womb clenched. An all too familiar cramping sensation. Disappointment washed over her. She wanted nothing more than to begin her life with Jack and start a family with the man she loved. She placed her hand over her aching stomach. Soon.
