Merry Christmas to you! I couldn’t wait to tell Mac’s story, because he needed a woman who saw right through to the heart of him. Bridget viewed him as more than a nice, wealthy rancher. She saw what a kind, generous man he really was, not the pushover his dad had predicted.
The idea for this book came to me when I was sitting in a coffee shop one day. I watched the interaction between the employees and the customers, and I started thinking about an owner who had a special way with people, but who also had secrets she didn’t want revealed.
We all have things in our past we’re ashamed of. They might be big, like Bridget’s being homeless, or they might be internal, like Mac’s feelings about his father. The important thing is to not let them keep us from living a full life. Like Bridget, we can take comfort in the fact that when we feel insignificant, God does not view us that way at all. As it says in Matthew 10:31, “Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Let us overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, no matter what comes our way. I hope you enjoyed this book. I love connecting with readers. Feel free to email me at jill@jillkemerer.com or write me at P.O. Box 2802, Whitehouse, Ohio, 43571.
