MICHAEL GIORGIONE is a rear admiral who served for twenty-nine years on active duty in the U.S. Navy and retired in 2010. During his career, he had many prestigious assignments. He was called by the White House to be the commander of Camp David for Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

The retired admiral is founder and president of LeadingLeaders, a leadership development and consulting firm. He is also chairman of the board for the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association, an executive board member with the Civil Engineer Corps/Seabee Historical Foundation, and a fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers. He spent four years at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he received a bachelor of science degree in ocean engineering. He received a master of science degree in civil engineering from Penn State University and took advanced management and business courses at Duke University and the University of North Carolina. The magnitude of and experiences from his assignments have made him a much-sought-after speaker and teacher.

Michael Giorgione lives in Coronado, California, with his wife, Michele. They have two daughters, Briana and Ryanne.
