About the Author
Sarah Sundin is the bestselling author of The Sea Before Us, The Sky Above Us, and The Land Beneath Us, as well as the WAVES OF FREEDOM, the WINGS OF THE NIGHTINGALE, and the WINGS OF GLORY series. Her novel The Sky Above Us is a finalist for the 2020 Carol Award, The Sea Before Us received the 2019 Reader’s Choice Award from RWA Faith, Hope, and Love, When Tides Turn and Through Waters Deep were named to Booklist’s “101 Best Romance Novels of the Last 10 Years,” and Through Waters Deep won the 2016 INSPY Award. In 2011, Sarah received the Writer of the Year Award at the Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference.
During WW II, one of her grandfathers served as a pharmacist’s mate (medic) in the US Navy, and her great-uncle flew with the US Eighth Air Force. Her other grandfather, a professor of German, helped train American soldiers in the German language through the US Army Specialized Training Program. Sarah and her husband live in northern California, and they have three adult children.
