If I had a power drill
and a power saw
and a power screwdriver
and a vise for holding glued boards together while they dry,
my moon project would be stellar.
But all we have are a rusty saw
and a screwdriver with a yellow handle
and a drill you crank by hand.
But every time I use those tools
to make a bigger, better, stronger moon box,
the wood splinters,
the corners bend,
my arms get tired from turning the crank,
and I think about switching my project
to lichens.
