Chapter 5

Korun and Blaen stared at each other in their suite as their attendants readied the room for Lacey’s lunch with them. While the setting was far more relaxed, both seemed rather anxious and unsure of where the meal would lead.

“Are you sure you felt her rhythms correctly?” Korun asked Blaen as he ran his fingers through his hair.

“Leave it out,” Blaen told him in regards to his ponytail. “And yes. Her vibrations were accepting of us as a unit but I won’t be sure until after this lunch.”

“I like her, Blaen,” Korun admitted.

“So do I,” Blaen agreed. “But let’s not put everything into this one just yet. She has some hesitations.”

“We’ll test her boundaries,” Korun told him.

An attendant rushed in with a worried glance on his face. “Your Royalness.”

“What is it?!”

“His Imperial Lord of Ubos, Kryz’uhr requires you to answer the wave screen,” he panted out.

“Very well, you are dismissed.” Korun shooed the attendant away who gladly fled the room.

A holographic image appeared in the center of the room. Korun’s father and ultimate ruler of their planet materialized as if he were standing there with them. His voice made the room shake. “Why is the room not prepared to receive Briegrot of Ecury?!”

“He will not be here until this evening, Your Imperial Lord,” Korun tried his best to restrict his aggravation.

“No! He is on his way to the suite conference room. He’s left word that he’ll be arriving within the hour. You must secure the details of this treaty with Ecury. Find out exactly what he wants for our military protection and if it’s even worthy of my time. You are allowed to offer him ONE of our battle ships to accompany him back to Ecury if you see fit. If even to gain an understanding of what we can extract out of this agreement. This will show a temporary order of protection to the Ecurians until we decide what the next move should be. Make sure it’s done to the efficacy of our regime. I will not be embarrassed, Korun! Keep your urges under control until business here is concluded. Then I expect you both on a ship back to Ubos immediately!”

“It shall be done.” Korun took to one knee and bowed his head. Blaen followed suit. Kryz’uhr vanished without another word and Korun stood to talk to Blaen. “Send word to Lacey that we’ll have to move our meal to dinner, and if she’s okay with that, you’ll retrieve her then. For now, have the attendants come back in to ready the room for this Briegrot.”

“It will be done.” Blaen bowed to Korun and went to fulfill his instructions.

When Briegrot arrived, Korun and Blaen both sensed his rhythms to be a bit off than the smile gleaming from his being. The most important trait of any Ubosian was their ability to sense the honest energy emanating from any living creature. It made them one of the fiercest species throughout the Universe. With Kryz’uhr being the most powerful, his assumption of most individuals was spot on. He’d told Blaen to keep an eye on Briegrot as Korun should be focused on being as diplomatic as possible. However, Korun was finding that difficult as both he and Blaen felt Briegrot wasn’t being completely honest with his intentions for the Ubosian military.

Korun tried to put his feelings aside, as did Blaen, but there was something about the scaly, green creature, with reptilian pupils that told them this was a bad idea. Korun wanted to honor his father’s wishes, so at the very least he was willing to listen to Briegrot.

Briegrot the Ecurian was short with four arms, scales with several shades of green, and yellow eyes that glowed with entitlement. His tongue slithered as he spoke and it did nothing to ease Korun into negotiating diplomatic strategies with him.

“Please allow me to offer my sincerest gratitude to you and the Imperial Lord for extending the invitation for our planets to meet under such prestigious conditions. I can assure you that Ecury will serve as a most abundant outpost for your army and perhaps offer sanctuary for your knowledge seekers. We have a wealth of resources only found on the surface of Ecury along with everything found beneath it. We hope to further explore the mutual benefits of our governments working in alignment with one another,” Briegrot spoke eloquently but through all of his words, there was a layer that Korun sensed but couldn’t pinpoint.

Not wanting to usurp his father’s plans, Korun laid out the same plan his father relayed to him. He sent Briegrot off to retrieve a Ubosian battleship. Blaen escorted the diplomat to its docking station. When he returned to the suite he had to voice his concerns to Korun.

“With all due respect to our Imperial Lord, this will not end well. That amphibious tyrant is not being honest with his intentions for this treaty.”

“I agree, but I couldn’t get a feel for his rhythm. Nor do I want to question my father. We will do as we were told and continue with our plans. Everything should be fine,” Korun assured him. “Please have the attendants come ready the room again for Lacey and retrieve her from her suite.”

“As you wish, Korun.” Blaen nodded and left the room.

Blaen returned to the suite with both Emily and Lacey in tow. While Korun was slightly disappointed, he was certain that Emily’s presence would have no effect on their dinner.

There was a table set up so that Blaen could join them as well this time. Lacey and Emily sat across from each other, while Korun and Blaen took seats next to them. Their aura was riddled with anxiety and both the blue males could feel it.

Korun signaled to an attendant to commence with the night’s entertainment and for their meal to be brought out. Dancers of all kinds entered the room while musicians played bells, chimes, and an assortment of other instruments. The aromas of the food circulated and the four of them enjoyed their meal. The more the dancers moved, the more sensual their rhythms became. It sent an energy through the room that Korun was certain Lacey could feel. Her breathing hitched when he grazed her leg under the table.

Lacey spread her legs slightly, and her knee brushed against Blaen’s unintentionally. But Blaen didn’t move away from her touch. Instead he ran his fingers up the center of her thigh. Korun smiled as their hands touched but Lacey didn't move away from either of them. Emily eyed them curiously, but couldn’t see how flustered her friend was. Her energy shifted accordingly.

Blaen looked to Korun and motioned toward Emily, but Korun shook his head. He could sense how off her rhythm was and wanted no part of it. Instead they both focused their attention and energy on Lacey. Their fingers tickled her body under the table until her legs trembled on the brink of an orgasm.

The males wondered if they were taking things too far, but she allowed them to continue. One by one, they took turns touching her, sliding against her pussy, but never entering. It wasn’t until the dancers finished that they stopped, and all stood to applaud their entertainment. Lacey’s face beamed a bright shade of red as she continued to look back and forth between them. Korun and Blaen had worked her over with the simplest touch of their fingertips. It was exciting for them all to think what could be done when they were able to move about freely. However, Korun couldn’t have predicted what could have happened next.

Emily stood there with a look of disgust on her face. “I apologize, but I can’t do this. Lacey I have to get out of here and you need to come with me. I don’t know why you brought me here with you. Clearly this isn’t the place for us.”

“What are you talking about?!” Lacey hissed to her in a harsh whisper, “We are their honored guests and you’re being rude. You need to give this a chance!”

“I don’t,” Emily shook her head. “Please forgive my rudeness. I do not mean to offend you or your customs. But I’m far too uncomfortable to continue to sit here and pretend I’m going to be okay for the rest of this evening. Lacey, let’s go!”

Lacey sighed and turned to Korun and Blaen. She curtsied and bowed her head. “My sincerest apologies Prince Korun. Please reach out to me to reschedule this meal. I do not mean for my friend to be rude. I only thought she’d enjoy your company as much as I have.”

“No apologies necessary,” Korun took Lacey by the hand and kissed the top. His soft lips sent a chill down her spine which he felt through his touch. He winked and smiled to her as she stood up straight to leave the suite. “Blaen will contact you to reschedule. All will be well.”
