Chapter 8

Dreams of Korun and Blaen taking turns pleasing her plagued Lacey all night as she tossed and turned alone in her bed. When the most sensational orgasm woke her from her sleep she made up her mind to follow through the next time. Her inhibitions took over the last time she was with Blaen and Korun. The idea of being with two males at the same time, on any planet, was something she’d never considered.

The conversation between them was easy enough. They were understanding of societal norms on Earth. However, what they didn’t understand was the concept monogamy given the male to female ratio. Lacey believed them when they told her they trusted her rhythms would lead her to the right decision. The only thing that worried her is that it felt too right.

Lacey’s first thought when she had felt Blaen’s finger enter her was that of euphoria. Sexual splendor exploded through her body like never before. She wished she’d met them long ago and spared her such mediocre love making by mere humans. The shock was still rolling over her clit. She grabbed herself to stop it from pulsating. Her body began to ache with pleasure as she yearned to be with them again. Stuffing a pillow between her legs seemed to ease the sensations but it still took her a moment to fall back to sleep. As soon as she closed her eyes, the vivid fantasies returned. This time she stayed asleep to enjoy what she’d missed out on in real life.

The bags under Lacey’s eyes when she woke up the following morning, made her appear more tired than she actually was. While she would have loved to revisit her salacious dreams, she’d much rather explore more areas of Varcadia. On her day’s agenda was a spa visit near the volcanic base on the other side of the asteroid. She’d been told the properties of volcanic ash and mud would do wonders for her skin and she’d wanted to try everything possible to erase the stress lines Brady worked so hard on giving her.

After packing her bags for the day’s excursion, Lacey reached for her phone. It dawned on her that she hadn’t heard from Emily since she left the night before. While it was perfectly okay for her to be upset, they’d had blowouts like this before, it never stopped them from basic communication. They were like family in that way. So she did what she thought was right...she called her.

“Hey Em, it’s me. I know we still have some issues to hammer out but I just wanted to see if you made it onto the shuttle. Are you on your way to Terra 5 yet? We don’t have to see eye to eye on everything for me to worry about you. At least text me that you’re okay,” Lacey pleaded to Emily’s voicemail.

Staring at her phone, she wished Emily’s face would flash across her screen. A text message, an immediate callback, something to say she was okay. It wasn’t sitting well with her, but she pushed the vibes out of her mind to ready herself to leave.

Lacey walked through the halls of the hotel and could feel the spirit in the air. There was a sense of worry and fright the closer she got to the lobby. It couldn’t have been her own paranoia. There was something bigger happening. So she rushed toward the check-in desk in the lobby where there were other guests gathered around. The same woman who’d signed her into the suite was standing on a chair. It wasn’t until then that Lacey realized she wasn’t completely human. She was propped up like a cobra perched to attack as she held her hands out to silence the crowd.

“Good morning everyone,” she tried to keep her voice as calm as possible. “It has been brought to our attention that many of the shuttles that took off last night were attacked and are being held for ransom. We are waiting to hear from Varcadian officials exactly which ships and how many travelers are being held. Please stay close to the hotel until we have more information for you.”

Lacey’s heart began to race as she thought of Emily being held by some alien pirate. It was more than she could stomach. There had to be something she could do, but the only thing that crossed her mind was to get to Korun and Blaen. She was certain they’d have more information for her.

By the time she reached their suite, there were a lot more security guards present than before. She didn’t remember any of these Ubosians from her previous visits. There was a strong military presence in their eyes. They were not to be toyed with. The closer she got to the doors, the more eyes followed her. She knew that her blonde hair and blue eyed, human presence was one they weren’t expecting. But, she knew the bond between her and the prince was something to be respected. At least, that’s what she hoped.

Placing her hand on the door, Lacey was stopped immediately by the firm grip of a Ubosian guard wrapping his fingers around her wrists. His two fingers were large enough to encompass both her hands and he flung her back a few feet. He shouted words in Ubosian. Lacey didn’t understand exactly what he said, but she knew it was something along the lines of, “GET BACK!”

“Please,” Lacey stumbled a bit before steadying herself, “I am a friend of the prince! I am a friend to your boss. Blaen is aware of my presence. I need to get in there. I need to find my friend!”

The guard spoke a mile a minute and still Lacey didn’t understand. She wished she’d see someone who’d been there. Every face there was new. She continued to beg and plead, but it was to no avail. Lacey tried again to get to the door only to be met with a storm of males shouting at her and then they drew their weapons.

A stockier member of the team approached her and spoke in a thunderous voice, “You are encroaching upon royal property and have no business here. The only thing we can tell is that you serve as a further threat to His Imperial Lord Kryz’uhr’s son, Prince Korun. With that charge, you are under arrest and for your punishment of charging the crown. You shall be executed.”

“WHAT?!” Lacey scanned the faces around her frantically, but they all blurred blue. Her voice was panicked, “NO! Please! BLAEN! KORUN! HELP! PLEASE!”

She kicked one officer in the knee and sprinted toward the suite door again. It was something she regretted instantly as she was met with the fist of an armored Ubosian, nailing her in the gut. Lacey toppled back and was nearly sick to her stomach. Screaming and shouting, she continued to fight but her energy was waning, and the soldiers were growing weary of her efforts to avoid her punishment.

It didn’t take long for Blaen to finally surface among the commotion. Lacey was being held on her knees with an Uborium bladed scythe hovering above her neck. Tears were spilling from her eyes as she continued to plead for the mercy of the soldiers around her. When she heard Blaen speak, it was a soothing sound. Something familiar to put her at ease.

It wasn’t until she felt his arm wrap around her waist and hoist her up from the floor that she knew she was okay.

“I’m sorry for the way they treated you. We didn’t anticipate Korun’s father sending security so fast. The hijackings just occurred a few hours ago and we’re trying to get Korun off of Varcadia peacefully and without incident,” Blaen explained to her.

“I didn’t mean to make a scene, but I just found out what was going on and came right here,” she told him. Her hand was still cradling the area where she was hit.

Blaen winced as if it were he that was injured. Calling Calyxo to her, he commanded, “Take her into your suite. Make sure that no one bothers her. Tend to her wounds and get her something to eat. Either Korun or myself will be in shortly to check on her.”

Calyxo nodded and helped Lacey into one of the rooms. She helped her out of her dress to reveal a reddish blue bruise forming around her ribs. Calyxo attempted to keep a peaceful expression on her face, but Lacey could tell it looked as bad as it felt.

“Okay,” Calyxo nodded, “I going to wrap you, and salve you.”

Lacey thought she meant save, but indeed Calyxo meant salve. She slathered a cold cream against her ribs that made her yelp in pain. A tingling sensation overcame her as Calyxo wrapped her entire torso in bandages. It restricted Lacey’s breathing a bit, but once she was finished, the wounded area was feeling much better. The only thing left for Lacey to do was wait to see what was going on and where the hell was Emily?
