Ice cream, cookies, candy, oh my. Even for my most health-conscious friends, dessert is a temptation that can be hard to resist. And although I don’t have much of a sweet tooth myself, I do sometimes like to finish a meal with a little something sweet. While all the savory recipes in this book are healthy, Thea and I did ease up a bit on them, incorporating some dairy or gluten from time to time. But because it’s hard to find desserts that aren’t full of dairy, fat, and sugar, it was important that all the sweets included be vegan, gluten free, and not contain refined white sugar. Don’t judge a vegan dessert book by its cover—all these clean desserts will leave you wanting seconds, with none of the guilt.
