LUKAS KRAUSE is driven by a relentless desire to learn, grow, and help others achieve their potential.

As a student of professional development, Lukas has developed, refined, and used the practices contained in this book to go from an entry-level position to the C-suite of an industry leading company in less than ten years. Lukas is the Chief Executive Officer for the Real Property Management franchise system and its portfolio of companies. He is an accomplished executive who has received numerous accolades individually (Housing Wire named him “Real Estate Industry’s Rising Star”) and organizationally (Forbes named the business one of the top ten franchises for its investment class).

One of Lukas’s proudest accomplishments is his pursuit of a life-long dream of playing professional baseball. After facing rejection repeatedly in his original position as a 1st baseman, his pursuit required him to reinvent himself as a pitcher, a position he had only a handful of experiences with early in high school, while working extra hours at a full-time job after graduating college. His unconventional path demanded that he put in the unglamorous work each and every night. That meant:

• Spending countless hours throwing against an elementary school wall (even having to shovel snow many times to clear an area for simulated bullpen sessions during the dark cold Chicago winters)
• Extensive weight training
• Getting pitching lessons from an instructor who usually worked with little leaguers
• Reading every single book on pitching he could get his hands on

All these efforts paid off and Lukas’ dream became a reality when he signed with the New York Mets and went from an office job on a Friday to spring training on a Monday.

Lukas holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University and an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado. He lives in beautiful Park City, Utah, with his talented wife Valerie where he tries his best to enjoy all of the outdoor fun—skiing, hiking, and mountain biking—that mountains offer. Lukas hopes now that after the publishing of this book his parents know what he does for a living (for a stretch there they believed he worked for the CIA because of his extensive travel schedule and the overly complex descriptions of what he was working on).
