Marble Plaster
a nice alternative to white plaster - fun to mix

MATERIALS
2 t. (10 ml) white glue
½ cup (125 ml) water
plaster of Paris
tempera paint
mold for plaster casting
bowl, soup bowl
PROCESS
- mix glue and water in a bowl
- stir in enough plaster to make frosting-like mixture
- pour into soup bowl
- pour thick coat of tempera paint over mixture
- fold in color to produce streaks
- pour into any mold (small milk carton, dixie-cups, etc.)
- then let dry
VARIATIONS
- see sand casting
- use any form made of plastic or rubber as a mold
HINTS
- makes about 1 cup (250 ml) -double or triple recipe if desired
- stronger variation than regular plaster of Paris
