This model was the result of close cooperation between two modellers – Anthony Chu who built the model and Dimi Apostolopoulos who carried out the research, now owns the model and supplied the photographs.
A number of modifications were needed in order to depict the cruiser as in late summer of 1942. A large number of photographs were used as reference to detail the model. For example, the photographs showed that the decks were painted in a dark grey. They also showed a great deal of detail on the construction of the bridge and armament.
