Like many family recipes, Susan says, “There really is no recipe written down, just one passed on by my mom and her mom before her.”
1 (16½ oz.) can original-style baked beans
1 small onion, diced
¼ cup molasses
¼ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon dry mustard
Dash water
1 tablespoon ketchup
3 strips bacon, diced
Mix everything in a large bowl and pour into a small baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
