Brandie June loves storytelling in all formats, whether she is marketing animated movies or writing fantasy novels. She spent most of her early life onstage, or at least as close to the front row as she could get. Initially an actor, she got her B.A. in Theatre from UCLA and branched out into costume design and playwriting. She developed an interest in marketing and returned to UCLA to get her M.B.A in Entertainment Marketing. When not writing, she promotes kids’ movies and anime as a marketing director of family entertainment.
She has published several pieces in anthologies, was a finalist for The Writers of the Future Award, is a member of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, volunteers with YALLWEST, and was a staff member of the Greater Los Angeles Writers Society. She loves speaking at writing and book events and has spoken at San Diego Comic-Con@Home, WonderCon, West Coast Writers Conference, SFWA Nebula Conference, The Book Fest, LosCon, BayCon, Creative Writing At Pacific, Southwest Manuscripters, and the Las Vegas Book Festival.
Her debut novel, Gold Spun, is a fresh retelling of the Rumpelstiltskin tale through the miller’s daughter’s POV. Except now the miller’s daughter is a con artist and Rumpelstiltskin is a mysterious faerie with a dark secret. Curse Undone is the second book in this duology.
