Spiced Peaches with Cinnamon Whipped Cream

When you need a quick dessert and you have to shop in your pantry for ingredients, this dessert is for you. Keep a couple of cans of peaches ready for when your sweet tooth strikes. Most of the other ingredients are typical in households. The whipped cream is optional but is the proverbial cherry on top!

1 Pour whipping cream into a metal bowl. Whisk until soft peaks form. Slowly add powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla and continue whipping until firm. Set aside and refrigerate.

2 Add remaining ingredients to Instant Pot®. Stir to mix. Lock lid.

3 Press the Manual button and adjust time to 3 minutes. When timer beeps, quick-release pressure until float valve drops and then unlock lid. Remove and discard the cinnamon stick, cloves, and peppercorns. Press Sauté button on Instant Pot®, press Adjust button to change the temperature to Less, and simmer for 5 minutes to thicken the syrup. Serve warm or chilled, topped with cinnamon whipped cream.
