We have a wide variety of fresh fruit available in Malaysia, so it’s easy to find refreshing drinks, made to order at street stalls. As a consequence, I find supermarket squash and cordials a little dull – I like my soft drinks and cocktails to be interesting and packed full of flavour.
A lot of these drinks can be made from ingredients you have left over from cooking other recipes in this book, such as pandan, chillies and lemongrass – waste-not want-not. Chin Chin!
