Ice is a beautiful yet treacherous thing. It can lull the traveler to sleep with its serenity and peace. Ice is able to lock life under it and prevent it from moving. However, there is nothing else out there that is as powerful as the graceful movement of a glacier, which can tear apart bedrock as it moves. While ice will typically show itself for what it is, with a bit of glamour, there is nothing more dangerous than a weak area in the ice that can swallow up the unexpecting bystander, leaving behind no trace of what was there.
