If you hunt or know of people who hunt that will give you some animal bones, this is one more option for making runes. Some people won’t every use bones due to the way they feel about animals. This choice is completely up to you.
Working with bone is hard. If you know somebody who has a bone saw, you can ask them to cut the tiles for you. If not, you might have to purchase a hacksaw at your local hardware store. You might have to ask for some help, and you may get some odd looks when you ask them to help you cut bones. Once you have painted the rune symbols on the bones, you need to seal or coat it so that the paint won’t chip just like you did with the rocks. Carving is going to be a bit hard on bone, and I have no idea how you can even do it.
