Once you have made your runes, now you need to consecrate them. This is similar to a dedication, as it will add your power to the runes. If you plan on using the runes for religious rituals, you can design a small ritual and consecrate them just like you have your other tools. If you are using your runes for casting, then you could do the following.
Take your runes, a bowl of water, and a candle. Light the candle and put your runes to the left of the candle. Take one rune and dab your finger into the water. Rub the water onto the rune as you say its name. If you don’t have all of them memorized, you can have a piece of paper next to you with all the names on it. Now pas the rune over the flame of the candle and say the name again. Put the rune onto the table to the right of the candle and say its name one more time. Do this with each rune until you have consecrated every one. You can now use your runes.
