The Unreached. How are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? Romans 10:14

SADLY, THERE ARE still more than six thousand people groups classified as unreached. That’s more than three billion people who have never even heard the gospel.[7] These are startling numbers, especially given what’s at stake. Scripture teaches that everyone who dies without believing the gospel will face the just punishment for their sins: God’s eternal judgment in hell.

When we consider the spiritual state of the unreached, as well as Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations (see Matthew 28:18-20), we should be compelled to take this gospel to everyone. However, it’s not guilt that compels us, for we have freely received God’s undeserved salvation. Followers of Christ ought to be compelled by grace. Even so, we recognize that this mission is costly and that it will require sacrifice. In the end, though, we’ll find that Christ’s reward was worth everything we gave up.
