Red velvet cake is beautiful to look at and now you can enjoy the
taste with a rich and creamy frosting right from the comfort of
home. This is an easy to make microwave cake that will make you
want more.
Ingredients:
Cake:
4 ½ tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons buttermilk
3 tablespoons oil
½ teaspoon red food coloring
1 large egg
Frosting:
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons cream cheese
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, buttermilk,
oil, baking powder, cocoa powder, food coloring, egg, and oil until
well combined.
2. Pour the batter into a greased microwaveable mug or
ramekin.
3. Place in the microwave and cook on high for 1 1/2minutes or
until cake is done in the center.
4. Remove the cake from the microwave and allow to cool
slightly.
5. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, sugar
and butter until smooth and creamy.
6. Spread icing on to cake.
7. Serve.
