They pulled up outside Holly’s house, and they all got out. There was no way Alex was going to leave Holly alone to face her parents. He felt responsible because it was he who Stacey was after. He felt sick thinking that Holly could be in danger because of him.
Holly opened the door and they all went through into the living room.
“Mum!” Holly shouted.
“Hiya love.” Kim said as she came through from the hallway. “How was school? Hi Dev.”
Kim looked to Alex and smiled mischievously.
“Hello again…Alex.” Kim looked between them all. “What’s going on? Has something happened? Are you ok?” She asked, frantically. Her face paling in fear.
“Mum, you need to sit down and don’t freak out until I’ve finished.”
“Holly. Just tell me.” Kim said.
Holly felt Alex’s hand tighten around hers as she prepared to tell her Mum.
“Do you remember me telling you you about a girl that was all over Alex and how he didn’t like it?”
“Yes.”
“Well…um…” Holly blew out a breath and closed her eyes.
“Ok, her name’s Stacey and she’s a loon…”
Holly told her Mum everything from when she started right up until the incident with her car.
“What?!!” Kim screamed. “Where does she fuckin’ live?! I’m gonna rip ‘er a new one, the cheeky twat! Wait ’til Oli ‘ears about this. He’s gonna go ape shit!” Kim shouted. Her own accent thickening with rage as she paced up and down the dining area.
“Mum, calm down. The police are going to her house, and I don’t know where she lives. They’re taking pictures of my car for evidence to go with the CCTV. They’re taking it to a garage afterwards.” Holly explained.
“You’re not having that car. No fuckin’ way. We’ll get you a new one.” Kim said as she sat down.
“And what if she does it again?” asked Holly.
Alex shifted uncomfortably at the mention of another attack against Holly. She knew he wouldn’t let that happen.
“If she comes near you again, Holly, I’ll hunt her down myself.” Said Kim through gritted teeth.
“It might have even been a one time thing.” Holly said, trying to keep her Mum calm. “She was mad, and she trashed my car. Once the police pick her up, they’ll tell us more.”
“It doesn’t change the fact that that was what she was willing to do. This is because she’s obsessed with you?” Kim asked Alex.
Oh no, please don’t.
“Yes.” He said quietly.
Kim looked back and forth between Alex and Holly.
Holly felt sick at what she thought her Mum was thinking.
“Mum…” She said with a warning tone. “No.”
Kim took a breath and blew it out.
“I want you kept safe.” Kim said, and she held up her hand to stop Holly from speaking. “Alex, has this girl ever done this before?”
“Not that I know of.” He replied.
Holly was terrified where her Mum was going with this.
“She doesn’t accept ‘no’.” Said Dev. “She has this delusional sense that all guys are chasing her, and when they say no, she says that they’re in denial.”
Kim rubbed her forehead, and Holly and Alex squeezed each other’s hand, looking to each other with concern.
“It’s obviously stupid to suggest you stay away from each other…” Kim said, with a smile. “If I had told you to do that, would you?”
“Not a chance.” Said Alex at the same time Holly said, “No way.”
“Good. You’d be giving in to her and she’s not having the satisfaction.” Kim said flatly. “Oli’s going to be home soon. He’s dealt with plenty of cases like this before. I’ll ask him what to expect.”
“Thanks, Mum.” Holly said as she hugged her Mum with one arm. Her other still holding on to Alex.
“I’m sorry it’s come to this Alex. I really am. However, I don’t want Holly anywhere on her own, or yourselves. If she’s one of the worse cases, your friends need to take care too.”
“I won’t leave her alone, Kim.” Alex promised.
“Either one of us will be with her. If not, the others in our group will be.” Said Dev.
“You too.” Kim said as she pointed to Alex and Dev. “Nowhere on your own.”
Holly was happy her Mum hadn’t tried to get her to stay away from Alex. It wasn’t going to happen. No matter what Stacey did, it wouldn’t break them up.
She’d had started on Holly from day one and didn’t like how she’d had fought back against her. It was only a matter of time before she resorted to some kind of retaliation.
“So, what are you all doing tonight?” Kim asked.
“Actually, Alex and I are going… on a date.” Holly said shyly, and Alex blushed.
“Reallllly?” Smiled Kim. “Well, nowhere too crowded or too remote. Somewhere not too popular where she could guess.”
“We’ll be safe.” Said Alex.
Holly cringed when she saw the glint in her Mum’s eyes.
“More than safe.” Said Kim as she was holding back a grin.
“Oh, goodness, Mother.” Said Holly with a hand over her eyes in embarrassment.
“What time are you going out?”
“I was going to suggest I pick you up at six. If that’s ok.” Alex said, turning to Holly.
“Ok,” Holly replied as she beamed at her gorgeous boyfriend.
My boyfriend.!
“We should go then.” Said Dev. It’s four thirty now and you both need to get changed, so let’s go, Alex.”
“Oh yeah, good point.” He said. Holly walked them to the door.
“See you at six, babe.” He whispered as he leaned in to kiss Holly.
As soon as they’re lips touched, Holly was on fire. She lifted her arms and rested them on Alex’s shoulders, threading her fingers into his hair. He held her close with one strong, muscular arm and cupped her head with the other.
Their tongues stroked each other gently, and with so much tenderness, Holly’s knees were shaking. Holly pressed closer and held tighter. Wanting more. Needing more.
“Uh, guys.” Dev said. “I think you need to cool down before this is no longer a family show.” She chuckled.
They reluctantly pulled apart from each other.
“Later” Holly whispered.
“Defo.” Alex replied with a cheeky smile, and Holly giggled at his use of her slang.
After Alex and Dev drove away, Holly rushed upstairs to shower and chose her outfit for her date.
Hmmm what to wear.
Holly smiled as she thought about the track that afternoon.
“She did what?’ Shouted Evie when Alex and Dev told her why they were home later than usual. “Is Holly ok? What about her parents?”
“Holly’s fine, Mom.” Said Alex. He told his Mom about the discussion they’d had, and he made sure to emphasize the part that nothing was keeping him and Holly apart.
“So you’re still going out?” asked Rami.
“Yes, of course.” Said Alex. “She’s not ruining anything for us. We’ll be careful and go where we can see her coming, if she does.”
“Like where?” asked Dev.
“I’m taking her to Quincy’s.
"Quincy’s was a restaurant that was well known for it’s romantic, yet relaxed, ambience. With candles and rose petals on the tables tops. Quiet booths for extra privacy and soft background music. It wasn’t necessary to dress up formally, and that’s what the customers liked.
After Phys. Ed, Alex had called up to see, by any chance, if they had any tables and luckily for him, they had a corner booth left at six thirty.
It must be fate.
“Oh that’s so romantic!” Said Evie, clutching her hands to her heart. Rami smiled at her.
“I heard you talking about it so I thought it’d be a good place.” Alex said.
“Oh she’ll love it.” Squeaked Dev.
“Here’s hoping.” Alex said before he went to his room to shower and change.
“I’ll follow you.” Rami said to Alex as he came downstairs. “I want to make sure that she’s not.”
“You think that’s what she’d do?” Alex asked his Dad. She had wrecked Holly’s car and run. Would she really chance being seen following him too?
“It’s possible.” Said Rami. “Alex, this girl has been chasing you for two years and, as you said, doesn’t understand the word ‘no’. If she has gone off the rails then I’m insisting I follow you to Holly’s house as a precaution.”
“We want to make sure you’re safe, honey.” Evie said. “Holly too. She’s a lovely girl, and she shouldn’t be worried going out in public.”
“Her Mom has asked us to always go out with somebody so we’re not alone. Just in case.” Said Dev. “Stacey looked like a mental patient, Mom. She was screaming at the guards. It was pretty scary.”
“We should hear from the police soon; hopefully.” Said Rami.
“Let’s go.” Alex sent a text to Holly before they got into their cars.
Holly’s phone beeped. Her face stretched into a huge smile when she saw it was Alex.
A: Hi babe. I’m on my way. My Dad is following me, just
as a precaution.x
H: Ok babe. Be safe. x
Oli had gone ballistic. As a lawyer, and partner, of his USA/UK law firm, he’d seen many cases like this. He’d warned Holly of the dangers of a delusional perpetrator when they’d suddenly reacted that way. It could possibly get worse.
Holly was worried for Alex.
What if Stacey came for him as ‘payback’ for having a girlfriend that wasn’t her? Or even for just saying ‘no’ yet again? Holly felt nauseated.
What about Dev? What if she tried to hurt Dev to get back at them both? Was she really that unstable?
Holly took a calming breath.
Let’s not over think. She told herself as she’d begun to panic again.
Holly had already done that today. The thought of Alex getting hurt pushed her into a panic attack. The police hadn’t called yet, and they would deal with it when they had the news.
Holly checked herself in the mirror before she left her room.
She’d decided on her black skinny jeans with a thin, sparkly silver belt. They sat on her hips in a way that showed the very tops of her pelvic bones and her toned stomach. She teamed it with a white sleeveless, fitted, vest top that finished just above her waistband. Together, they flashed a little bit of flesh, just enough to tease. Holly would have normally worn a longer shirt over that too.
Not tonight.
Her black heeled boots that Em has brought her from England, went great with the jeans. They zipped up to just above her calves.
Holly put on the necklace her Dad had bought her for her ninth birthday. It was a platinum belcher chain and daffodil pendant.
“I miss you, Dad.” She whispered as she held the flower in her hand.
Holly picked up her black blazer that had a silver diamanté brooch, on the left lapel, in the shape of a rose. Her lip gloss was still shiny and her long hair was good. No tanlges…yet. Holly had worn her hair down. She normally tied it back in a ponytail or braid, but now it was loose; it hung down to her waist.
Holly blew out a breath.
“Ready.” She told herself and as she went downstairs, there was a knock on the door.
Holly’s stomach flip-flopped.
“Oh my goodness.” She whispered as she froze on the spot.
“Are you going to answer that? Or shall I?” chuckled Oli.
“Oh…yeah.” She said as she opened the door…and nearly fainted.
“Holy Fuck!” Said Holly and then clamped her hand over her mouth.
She usually saves the expletives for the moments she lost her temper. She couldn’t stop herself when she saw Alex.
Alex was standing on the step looking so damn sexy; Holly’s panties were practically on fire.
His black hair was mussed from running his hand through it. The front had fallen forward in that way she liked when strands fell to his eyes. His black v-neck T-shirt fitted where it touched. Not too tight, like those over muscled bodybuilder types. No, his shirt showed off his chest and biceps in a way that made your mouth water whilst tripping over your chin.
His dark blue, faded, jeans hung on his hips and Holly knew that the way they looked at the front, they would fit amazingly across his perfect rear. Her eyes travelled a little further south and she could see a mound in the front of his jeans that seed to increase in size the longer she stared.
“I…uh…” Said Alex. Eyes wide taking in the sight before him.
Holly was unbelievably sexy!
He could see the curve of her waist and tight stomach with her skin showing about an inch above the waistband of her jeans. Jeans that clung to her slim hips as though they were made just for her. Her thighs were shapely and toned, not stick thin, and they were oh-so-perfect.
He remembered them being wrapped around him. The memory causing another surge down south.
As Alex looked back up, he tried not to, but couldn’t miss how her breasts looked in her vest top. Shapely, round, and bigger than they had seemed before. She’d hidden them well underneath her usual baggy clothing.
Her hair was loose. Shiny dark hair that cascaded down like satin. Alex wanted to touch it…
“Oh, sorry, come in.” Holly said as she blinked rapidly.
She seemed to be in a daze of her own.
Alex swallowed hard and turned to wave to his Dad as he drove away. Alex entered the hallway and noticed Oli leaning against the wall further down.
“Good evening, Alex.” He said.
“Hi Oli.” Alex saw the smirk on Oli’s face and guessed that he was going to say something to embarrass he and Holly both.
“What, no flowers?” Oli asked with a smile.
“Dad!” Holly shouted
“Holly prefers them alive, in the ground.” Replied Alex, smiling back.
He’s testing me.
“Chocolates?” asked Oli with a raise of his eyebrows.
“Holly doesn’t each much chocolate. Until…” Alex pouted his lips as if in thought. “…Another three weeks.”
Holly gasped in shock and Oli’s eyebrows raised further.
“Well I guess you know our girl.” Oli snickered. Alex smiled and winked at a very surprised Holly.
“How did you know that?” She asked.
“I pay attention.” He replied with another wink.
“Hi Alex.” Said Kim as she walked into the hallway from the kitchen.
She was drying her hands as if she’d been washing up. She glanced towards Oli.
She’s up to something.
“Where are you taking my baby?” she asked and Holly rolled her eyes. Her Mum was clearly stating that she was still a child.
“Quincy’s.” Said Alex and he turned to Holly. “If that’s ok with you.”
“I don’t know what that is but, yeah.” Holly said. She didn’t care where they went as long as they were together…alone…nobody else…
“I know what that is.” Oli said, interrupting Holly’s wayward thoughts. “I took your Mom there last weekend. Very nice.” He said approvingly.
“We should go.” Said Holly. She could sense that her Mum, or Dad, were getting ready for an innuendo outburst. They’d been glancing and smirking between them the whole time they had stood there.
Holly picked up her small bag and turned to go through the door.
“Oh Alex…” Kim said.
“Oh no” whispered Holly and Alex smiled.
“Yes?”
“Bring my baby back safely and… intact.”
“Oh dear God.” Groaned Holly.
“I will Kim, don’t worry.” Alex said, and he quickly glanced at Holly. “A little cross-eyed and weak kneed, but otherwise intact.”
Holly burst out laughing in disbelief as her Mum’s mouth popped open.
“Well I never thought I’d see the day you were shocked.” Oli said to Kim, shaking his head. “I’ll follow you guys.” He said to Holly. “Just to be sure she’s not.”
“Ok Dad, thanks… Bye Mum.” She said as she waved.
“Have a great time!” Kim said, and Holly thought she could see her Mum tearing up a little.
“Her baby’s growing up.” Oli whispered as they walked out the door.
As they walked to the car, Alex opened the door for Holly.
“Alex…” Oli said and Alex turned to him. “Well played.” He chuckled and got into his own car.
Alex got in the car and started the engine. Holly almost drooled when she was hit with his smell. Soapy, clean, a little hint of aftershave and mostly…Alex.
”I didn’t want to say anything in front of your parents, but…wow…you look…so…wow.” Alex said, looking over Holly again as she turned pink under his gaze.
“You look amazing yourself.” She said. A little breathless.
Holly scanned him all over again, and Alex noticed how she gently licked her lower lip into her mouth as she did.
“I like your necklace.” He’d noticed the daffodil pendant hanging around her neck. Hers and her biological Dad’s favorite flower.
“Thanks.” Holly whispered.
Alex swallowed the sudden lump in his throat.
“I think we better go before your Dad needs to start tapping on the window.”
“Wh..? Oh…yeah.” Holly said, and she swallowed. Alex smiled as he realized she’d been in an ‘Alex fog’.
He loved that.
“Let’s go. But first…” Holly leant over and kissed him gently, but quickly.
“Now, we can go.”
They held hands on the way to the restaurant.
We could stay like this forever.
Holly giggled as she thought about what Alex had said earlier.
“My Mum’s face was hilarious. I can’t believe you said that to her.” Holly chuckled.
“Like we said…Counter attack. I wanted to tell her you’d be fine. But maybe not completely fine.” Alex said with a cheeky grin, which made Holly’s insides turn to mush.
“I’m sorry about my Dad. He was just teasing you.” She said. Her Dad knew how she felt about receiving unnecessary gifts. Especially flowers and chocolates.
“It’s Ok, babe. I know.” He said with an understanding smile.
“I also know you don’t like that stuff.” Alex told Holly that he’d overheard a conversation a few girls were having in one of their A.Eng classes.
They’d been talking about what a ‘decent’ date should bring when they came to pick them up. They’d asked Holly what she would ‘expect’.
“I wouldn’t expect anything.“ She’d said. “If he’s trying to buy your affection then isn’t the date a waste of time? Is it really worth it?”
The other girls had thought Holly was crazy, saying that the gifts were the best part. Holly had rolled her eyes at that, and Alex fell in love with her even more. If that was even possible.
He missed the ‘love’ part of the story out of the conversation.
Alex admitted that Ben had also been listening at the gym window.
The gym was right next to the girls’ changing area and when the windows were open, the girls’ voices carried.
“Oh my goodness! Does he do that a lot?” Holly asked in amazement.
“Not on purpose, all the time, but he’s a sucker for gossip.” He laughed. “I swear he should’ve been Dev’s brother instead.”
“What else did he hear?” she asked nervously. Thinking that he might have heard the conversations about him to Dev.
“Not much really. He heard that Jake hasn’t been the same since Caleb’s party. We’ve seen that too and thought he was acting a little weird. Somebody called ‘Terri’ might be pregnant, but we don’t know who that is.”
Holly felt relieved he hadn’t heard any of the conversation between her and Stacey a couple of weeks ago, and what she wanted with his tongue. Eurgh!
“I think they meant a girl in another school.” Holly said. “I don’t know the whole story, but someone mentioned New Haven Academy.”
“That’s the dance Academy.”
It was common knowledge that some of the other guys in school had either dated, or fooled around with, some of the girls there. It was only a matter of time before there was a teen pregnancy. He and Holly would be very careful until they planned to have their first baby.
What the fuck? Babies?
His heart beat faster.
Holly, pregnant, with my child?
Alex could see it. Her rounded stomach with his baby. Happy and smiling with love for what they created together. It was a strange feeling for Alex. Still, technically, a kid himself thinking about becoming a father. Not for a long while but… yes. With Holly. Only ever with Holly.
“Are you ok?” Holly asked.
“Yeah, just thinking.” He couldn’t help smiling at his thoughts. Holly turned her head to glance at him, sideways, narrowing her eyes.
“About…?”
About not getting you pregnant for at least a few years.
“Oh nothing that matters for a long time yet.” He said cryptically.
“Should I be worried?” she asked playfully.
“I hope not.” He said in the low voice he knew that affected her so much at school. Holly’s jaw slackened, and she flushed.
Alex chuckled as he pulled up outside Quincy’s.
They went inside, and the waiter showed them to their table. It was near the back of the restaurant, on the left hand side.
The booth was curved around a circular table with a white tablecloth. A white, and a red candle sat in the center in black candlesticks, surrounded by small, red, rose petals.
“Wow, this is gorgeous!” Said Holly in wonder as she looked around.
The drapes, that hung from the long Georgian style windows, were white withered rope tie-backs and a red upholstered pelmet with a black trim. The moulded seating was upholstered with black fabric with white edge beading and small red roses were embroidered into the backs. The lighting was low, which had an intimate, romantic feel to it.
Especially accompanied by the candlelight.
Music was playing in the background. Not cheesy love ballads but gentle violin music.
“Oh my goodness.” Holly whispered as she sat down.
“Do you like it?” Alex asked, glad Holly had had that reaction to the restaurant. His Mom had raved about the place. She’d said ‘it’s the kind of place you can be surprised with and not think you’re underdressed… As long as you’re not in sweats.”
“It’s amazing!”
They sat close together, fingers interlocking as usual.
“My Dad brings my Mom here. She loves it.”
“You’ve not been here before?” she asked.
He’d never been on a date before, and he’d always thought this place was for couples. Alex wondered if Holly had thought he’d been there with another girl. He’d told her he hadn’t wanted to.
“No. Why?”
“There’s a sign back there saying ‘family Wednesdays’. I thought maybe you’d all come here together before.”
“Ohhhh.” He said, slightly embarrassed.
“Did you think I was asking whether you’d been here with another girl?” Holly asked him. A confused look on her face.
“For a second…yeah.” He admitted, shyly.
“You told me you hadn’t dated before and I believe you.” Holly said as she smiled. “Besides…” she continued “…The way Dev was acting and what Ben said…” Holly started laughing when Alex jumped in.
“What did Ben say?”
Holly told him about the conversation she and Ben had had after Clare had spread the rumour about them dating. Also about Dev’s strange behavior, as if it were a miracle Alex had asked somebody out.
They laughed, and Alex nodded in agreement. He felt a lot better knowing Holly trusted him. He trusted her too. Implicitly.
The waiter came over to take their order, but they’d been too busy talking, that they forgot to look at the menu’s.
“Erm…just…veggie burger and fries, please.”
“Same for me.” Said Alex.
“Any drinks?” the waiter asked, pen poised above his notepad. Alex, with his impeccable manners, waited for Holly to go first.
“Lemo…I mean, soda. Thanks.”
Alex ordered the same again.
“Why did you order the same as me?” she asked playfully.
“If you order it, it must be good. Plus, I never looked at the menu at all.” He said, and Holly flushed as she realised he’d been staring at her the whole time.
“I love it when I make you blush.” He said lowly.
Oh my! He’s doing it again!
“Wh…Why?” Her breath hitched in her throat. Her blush deepening. He leaned in really close and whispered in her ear.
“I know I’m doing something right.” He lifted his free hand to her face and brushed her hair back, threading his fingers into the long, silky strands. He brought their mouths together and parted his lips, as did Holly, and kissed her deeply.
Their tongues found each other and glided over each other effortlessly. Their joined hands released, and they searched for each others’ bodies.
Alex held his arm around Holly’s lower back and pulled her as close to him as he could in their seat.
Holly’s hands found Alex’s hair. God she loved his hair!
She stroked down the side of Alex’s neck with one hand, down to his shoulder, and further to his chest. Alex’s hand fisted in her vest before releasing slowly to lower towards her hip.
She loved his hands on her.
She wasn’t worried or scared at all. He never once made her feel like he was just feeling her up. No. Instead, he made her feel beautiful, wanted and so damn hot she was in danger of combusting.
Alex was still cupping Holly’s head whilst his other hand had a mind of it’s own. The passion in their kiss was increasing. Lips sucking and teasing each other. Tongues swirling, tasting each other like they were devouring their last meal. Holly released a small moan, and Alex’s hand lowered further still until it found Holly’s perfectly toned rear.
“Oh my God! I’m so sorry!” Alex said as he pulled away suddenly, panting.
“What? What’s wrong?” Holly asked, just as out of breath as he was.
“I put my hand on your…” He swallowed “…your butt. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. Well, I must have, somehow, but I wasn’t thinking…”
“Alex.” Holly said, putting a finger on his lips. “There’s no need to apologize.” She said gently as she removed her finger to cup his face.
“But…I...”
“If I minded. I would have stopped you before you got that far.” She said.
“You would?” He was still embarrassed about what he’d done but also wanting to make sure that Holly was certain. It was one thing saying something, but actually doing it was a different matter. He felt as though he’d taken advantage of her in some way.
“Of course I would!” She said. “Alex, don’t feel bad. Please.” Holly said as she saw Alex’s face filled with regret.
She wanted him to do it.
Actually wanted him to put his hands on her arse! When she’d felt his hand lowering, she’d actually moaned out loud in anticipation.
Holly took a controlled breath. She needed Alex to know what she wanted.
“Give me your hand.”
“What?”
“Give me your hand” she repeated.
Alex held out his right hand, and Holly took it. She caressed it a few moments. Taking her time to enjoy the feel of his long, strong fingers. His palm which was smooth despite his gym use, and his unmarked knuckles.
Holly moved his hand behind her back and placed it on her right butt cheek that was above the seat.
Alex’s eyes widened.
“See?” She asked, and smiled. Holly felt her pulse race and her breath quicken as the feel of Alex’s hand on her behind. His hand on her body, that nobody had ever touched before.
Alex swallowed hard.
His heart pounding.
His jeans…too tight…
He looked into Holly’s eyes and saw that her pupils were dilated, her breathing heavy. She licked her lips.
“I want you to.” She whispered.
“Holly…I…” He stopped and swallowed again.
“Yeah?” She whispered in reply.
Holly’s stomach was in knots. Her lady parts were doing crazy things, and she desperately wanted to tear Alex’s shirt from his body and lick him… Alex let out a shaky breath. He closed his eyes, and Holly saw him clench his jaw, before he opened them again.
“Oh my God!” He said, raising his eyebrows. “When did the food and drinks get here?”
Holly turned and, sure enough, their meal had been served. They turned to each other…and burst out laughing. Somebody had gotten a good show.
Holly’s hands went to her cheeks as they flamed. Alex squeezed Holly’s other cheek, and her eyes darted to his as she jumped. He winked at her as he grinned.
Alex still felt as if he were doing something he shouldn’t, but Holly had put his hand there. She told him she wanted him to.
Oh great!
He was rock solid in his jeans.
Holly began removing her blazer and instead of helping, Alex froze.
The collar of the jacket fell back over her shoulders, down her bare arms, and as she was reaching back to remove her sleeves, her breasts pushed forward and Alex held his breath.
She folded her blazer and set it next to her.
Alex continued to stare.
Her body, once heavily covered, was displayed right before him. Her toned arms; so sleek and smooth. Her back and upper chest just begging to be kissed. He could see the delicious shape of her torso, with her toned stomach, and the way she sat made the rear of her vest lift higher which showed off a little more skin on her lower back that he had a sudden urge to run his tongue over.
Then, of course, her perfectly formed breasts.
He tried and tried not to stare at her, but he couldn’t help himself. He’d never seen such perfection in his life.
Holly lifted her hands and ran them through her beautiful silky tresses to push them back out of her way. Her breasts bouncing slightly as she did.
“Football, soccer, cricket, baseball, fishing…” He ranted with his head in his hands. He took a deep breath to calm himself, and to hopefully ease the pain between his legs. He heard Holly chuckling.
“Not so funny now, is it?” She said quietly.
“You are seriously trying to kill me.” He said with a pained tone.
“Payback’s a bitch.” She said with a cheeky smile as Alex looked up at her and he saw she was gazing at his body.
“I do this to you?” He asked incredulously.
“Do you even need to ask?” she replied as she was staring at his biceps.
Alex groaned in pain and ranted his sports lists again.
The rest of their time in the restaurant was amazing. They talked about their lives growing up. Holly’s life in England and how she came to move to Seattle.
Alex loved hearing about her life, her crazy protective sister, and the love of gardening she shared with her Dad, James. Holly told him that her necklace was the last thing he bought for her on her ninth birthday.
The day he died.
Alex understood why Holly had brought his ashes with her. They were joined at the hip until the horrifying day that he was painfully ripped from their lives. She’d also told him about the cinema and running into the showing of ‘Dawn of the Dead’ by accident and that’s why she’d reacted the way she did at their house.
Alex had hugged her tight when she told him, which resulted them getting a little ‘hot’ as they’d kissed again. It seemed like the world around them no longer existed when they did.
They had dessert, chocolate ice-cream of course, and they took some selfie’s to remember their first date, not that they’d forget, whilst the waiter went to get their bill.
Holly wanted to pay, but Alex wouldn’t let her.
“No. I asked you on a date. I got this.” Said Alex “If you try to give me money, I’ll only give it back to you. Even if I have to give it to your Mom.” He threatened jokingly.
Holly pouted and folded her arms, trying not to smile.
“Fine.” She said.
Holly grinned.
“What are you up to?” Alex asked accusingly.
“Alex.”
“Yes?” Holly took a controlled breath.
What’s she going to say? She’s calming her nerves again. She must still be nervous around me.
“Can I take you on a date?” Alex’s smile couldn’t get any bigger.
“As your boyfriend you have that right.” He said happily.
Boyfriend.
He loved the sound of that. He was Holly’s boyfriend and she, his girlfriend.
Even before their first date!
Everything had gone so fast. They’d known each other for only a few weeks, but it seemed that something wanted them to be together, It was like magnets pulling them strongly and nothing would stop them or get in their way.
Everything felt right with her. Talking, laughing, sitting…even just being in the same room felt right.
Alex had wondered how he’d gotten by so long without her. Was Holly his soul mate? He’d heard Dev talk about ‘soul mates’ and ‘knowing’ who they were even after meeting for a few seconds. ‘Recognizing the other half of you in another person’ she’d said. He hadn’t believed it until that day in the hallway when he’d first seen Holly walking towards him.
He’d ‘known’ Holly was special. He’d ‘known he wanted her, and he’d ‘known’ he needed her. He also knew that he was extremely lucky to have not been with anybody else before finding the missing piece of him, as many people had done.
“Alex?” Holly said quietly.
“Oh yeah.” He said as Holly had moved closer to him. She smiled knowingly as she knew he was away in his ‘Holly haze’.
“How about Sunday?”
“Sunday?” He asked. Wouldn’t he see her the next day too?
“Yeah, it’s just that I promised Dev we could go over her Algebra tomorrow and…um…” Holly looked a little nervous as she took another breath. “My nerves are close to breaking point. But…” She said before Alex could interrupt. “…I think you should have been on at least two dates before you turn eighteen.”
“That’s a deal.” He said, using his low tone that he knew made Holly hot all over. “Besides…” He added, getting closer still. Pushing his nose through her hair to whisper in her ear. “…Hyperthermia isn’t really a good look for me.”
Holly gasped.
She knew exactly what he meant by that. He would have to take a lot of cold showers if they were to go on another date the very next day.
Alex’s whispering and letting her know exactly what she does to him had her aching between her thighs. She squeezed her eyes shut, and her legs. She could feel her nipples tighten and stand to attention.
“Hhhh.” Her breath sounded shaky and turned on at the same time.
Alex kept his face buried in her hair, and he was loving what he was doing to Holly. He plucked up the courage to go one tiny bit further.
“Holllyyy.” He whispered into her ear.
“Mmmph!” She whimpered.
Alex lowered his head slightly and pressed his lips to her neck, just below her ear. Holly’s hands flew out to the backs on the seats to steady herself.
“Oh my God!” Her voice came out in one quick, sharp breath that sounded more like a growl than a squeak.
“Alex, you need to stop doing that.” She said, as she was trying to catch her breath.
Alex slightly pulled away to look into her eyes. Sure enough, her pupils were dilated. He glance down at her body. Her chest was heaving with her breathlessness, and her nipples were hard under vest.
Alex grinned.
“Payback’s a bitch” He said quietly in his low voice, whilst simultaneously trying to make himself comfortable from the painful restriction in his pants.
Alex paid the bill and left a generous tip. After all, the waiter hadn’t mentioned the ‘moment’ he had witnessed.
Holly had texted her parents, Alex texted his; to let them know they were leaving the restaurant. They’d replied, wanting to know step-by-step details of their whereabouts in case Stacey had shown up. She didn’t know where they were or that they’d planned to go out that night, but there was always that possibility that she could have followed in a cab.
Alex helped Holly with her blazer. From behind, he could see her amazing rear that he’d had his hand on earlier.
Hello erection!
Holly’s taut waist and back, her shoulders and her bare neck as she moved her hair out of the way.
“Holy Fuck!” He whispered.
“What?” asks holly as she turned around. Alex was stunned.
“Did I say that out loud?”
“Yes, you did.” Holly chuckled.
“Well, I meant it.” He said lowly, and Holly was gone…again.
Once they managed to get outside the restaurant they walked, hand-in-hand, the few feet to the car when Holly froze.
“Babe. What’s wrong?” He asked as he saw her startled expression.
He followed her gaze to what she had seen.
Standing on the other side of the street staring at them with a menacing scowl, was Stacey.
“Get in the car.” Alex said quickly.
He shut Holly’s door and rushed to get in his side. Alex started the engine in record time and pulled away, just as Stacey had crossed the street to approach.
“What the fuck?!” Said Alex.
“I’m calling my Mum.” Said Holly as she got her phone out of her bag.
“I’m not taking you home yet.” He said in a panic. “We’re going to my house. I don’t want to be apart right now.”
Holly could sense Alex’s despair. She didn’t want to be apart either. Not just because of Stacey, but because she felt lonely without him.
She felt like he was the perfect answer to her question. The kind that made perfect sense when nothing else did.
Holly found that she couldn’t breathe properly. She tried to steady her breath, but it was caught in her throat.
She sent her mum a quick text.
H: Mum. On our way to Alex’s. Stacey showed up outside. Nothing happened. Will call when I get there. X.
Holly’s throat continued to close, and she couldn’t breathe. Holly held onto the door handle for support.
“Shit, shit!” Said Alex. “Holly, babe…breathe. Baby breathe.”
At the red lights, Alex looked around and pressed the button on the stereo to speed dial his parents. It was lucky he’d opted for the bluetooth connection on his car.
“Dev!” He said when she answered.
“Alex, where are you? The police called. They couldn’t find Stacey. She never went home after she wrecked Holly’s car. They’ve searched the area.”
“Dev, she showed up outside Quincy’s… Holly, baby, please breathe.”
“Oh my God! Is Holly ok?” screamed Dev.
“Panic attack. Stacey was across the street watching us. She started to cross as we got into the car. We’re on our way home. Call the police and tell them.”
“Ok. Be careful.” Dev said and hung up.
Holly’s breathing was frantic.
Alex took the hand that was gripping her thigh.
“Breathe Holly. It’s ok. I won’t let her near you.”
His Holly was having a panic attack for the second time that day. All because of that psycho whore!
“It’s not…me…I’m worried about…” Holly managed to say. “…If …she hurts…you…or Dev…I’ll…”
“She won’t, babe.” He reassured her. “I won’t let that happen. Even if we have to stay out of school, or out of town until she’s caught. She’s not going to do anything.” Alex lifted their hands and stroked her cheek with his thumb.
Holly closed her eyes and took deep breaths.
“That’s my girl.” He said gently. Holly smiled a little as she gained control of her breathing. Alex saw, and he loved that little affirmation had pleased her.
“My girl.” He said again. “No matter who likes it or not.”
Dev came running out of the house as they pulled up. She yanked open Holly’s door.
“Holly! Oh my God, you’re ok.” She said and threw her arms around her best friend as she got out of the car. Alex walked around and Dev pulled him into the hug too.
“I was so worried when I heard you having a panic attack.” She said.
“I’m ok now.” Holly said. “I need to call my mum.”
“Don’t go.” Said Alex. “Not yet.”
“I won’t.” Holly replied as she smiled up at her guy. Her gorgeous protective guy.
Once inside the house, Holly called her parents to let them know she’d arrived safely and Rami was on the phone to the police.
“Thank you, officer. They’ll be pleased to know.” He said before he hung up. “Stacey’s been arrested.”
“Oh thank goodness!” Dev said. Alex and Holly sighed with relief as they held each other tightly.
“Where?” asked Dev.
“Quincy’s. She went in and caused a scene, asking what you guys ate, talked about and if you had ‘made out’. The manager called the police and that’s how they managed to find her. They said, from the looks of it, she probably went around looking for you at all of the known ‘dating’ restaurants, when she saw you come out.” Rami said.
“How could she have known we were out tonight? Only our group knew.” Said Alex.
“We don’t know that yet, son. She could’ve followed myself, or Holly’s Dad in a cab. Or ,she could’ve assumed, because Friday is a usual date night. We just don’t know.”
“Well, she’s off the streets now.” Said Evie. “We’ll get protection orders set up in the morning.”
“For everyone.” Holly added, shakily. “I don’t want her near any of you either, or my family.”
Alex held her tight. He could feel her shaken up, and because of the fear she had of himself or anybody being hurt by Stacey; it had brought on another panic attack. He was going to make sure she was protected. Nobody was getting near his Holly. Ever.
“I think it’s probably best, as a precaution.” Said Dev. "I’ve seen her in action and it’s not good.”
They discussed what may happen to Stacey after what she’d done that day.
Alex had already complained about her in school, but not to the police, so there may not be anything there that the police could charge her with. The vandalism to Holly’s car, however, could be.
Alex was relieved that they didn’t have to worry about Stacey for the rest of the night, but he was concerned how soon she would be released. They just had to wait for the news from the station.
Dev’s face was pale, and she looked sick with worry. Alex released one arm from around Holly and opened it for Dev. She flew into their group hug without hesitation.
“I can’t believe she did this. The two years she’s been bugging you, and now she pulls this shit. Who does she think she is? The teachers at school saw what she was like and never did a damn thing about it! Changing classes? Whoopdee fucking do!”
Alex could tell Dev was getting angrier the more she spoke.
“Why didn’t they stop her before it got too far?” Dev started to cry.
Holly hated Stacey with every fibre of her being. Dev had told her that the slut had slept her way through most of the high school, some seeming to have deep regrets about it, but she’d had her sights on Alex from the day she started. He always told her ‘no’ and to leave him alone. She would talk about what she’d done with other guys, as if to make him jealous, but it only disgusted him even more
Most of the girls in school had a crush on him and had asked him out, he’d politely refused, but Stacey had gone further and tried to stake her claim on him by scaring the other girls away when she could.
Well she wasn’t scaring Holly away. Not even a chance.
“Dev don’t cry.” Alex said, gently. He hated seeing her upset. He’d always wanted to hurt anybody that caused her to get like that. Even Ben.
“I just hate her.” She sniffed. “What she’s done to you…to you both. She needs locking away in a psych ward.”
“Let’s just hope the cops can deal with her and that’ll be it.” Said Holly, rubbing Dev’s back.
Holly hoped that was true. If that was the end, then great, but Holly had a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach.
“No going out on your own. I’m serious.” Said Dev.
“Ok, Mom.” Chuckled Alex.
“I mean it! If she’s released tomorrow she could be anywhere and Alex, keep your car locked in the garage.”
“I agree.” Said Holly. “Doors and windows too.
“Who are the parents here?” Joked Rami.
“They sound so grown up.” Said Evie.
Holly’s phone rang, and she looked to see who it was. It was her Mum.
“Hiya Mum.” She answered.
“Have you left Alex and Dev’s yet?” Kim asked with worry.
“No. Not yet. I’m still here. Mum, they picked Stacey up at the restaurant.” She said and heard relief in her mums voice.
“They did?” Thank fuck for that!” Are you coming home soon?” Holly could see Alex frantically shaking his head and she smiled.
“Er… something’s telling me I should stick around a bit longer.” She said as Alex beamed his panty melting smile.
“Ok, well, phone me and we’ll come and pick you up.”
Alex pointed to himself and mouthed “I’ll take you.”
“Alex said he’ll take me.”
“I bet he did!” Her Mum laughed.
“Mother!” Holly squealed, and Alex burst out laughing, putting a hand over his mouth to contain it.
“Bye, Mum, I’ll text you later.” She said flatly and ended the call. She put her hands on her cheeks in embarrassment.
“Everything ok?” asked Evie as she saw Alex was having a fit of hysterics whilst Holly’s face glowed red.
“Oh my God!” Holly whispered.
“My Mum likes to make embarrassing comments.” She said shyly. Evie looked a little confused for a moment before recognition showed on her face. “Ohhhh. Oh my!” She giggled.
“Mom! You’re not supposed to find that funny!” chuckled Dev.
“Somehow I don’t think Holly’s mother was serious.” She said with a raised eyebrow.
“Not really.” Said Holly. She just likes to get a reaction and a laugh. She likes to embarrass me and my sister. She thinks it’s hilarious.”
“So, what are you going to do now that the ‘obstruction’ is gone?” Rami said with quote fingers.
“I’ve got an idea.” Said Alex as he took Holly’s hand and led her to the front door.
“Keep us informed where you are!” Dev shouted after them.
“What time will you be back?” Asked Evie.
“We will, and no later than midnight!” Alex called back to answer them both.
Holly sent a text to her Mum when she got in the car.
H: We’re going back out. Will be back before midnight.
I’ll text you where I am when we get there.
K: Ok, baby girl. Keep me posted and stay safe! ;)
I love you.
H: >:| I love you too.
