Krishna is both a bee on the lotus which is Radha’s
lovely face,
and the perfect sapphire to crown the very summit
of the cosmos;
He is both the death of the demons descending to
burden our world,
and the birth of a night of pleasure for the beautiful girls
of Vraja.
May he, Devaki’s baby boy* and the comet killing Kansa,
watch over us.
