“Your lips are as rosy bright as copper cups,
your cheeks, my wild girl, as sweet and pale as
honeysuckle,
your shining eyes as lustrous as azure lotuses;
your nostrils are sesame flowers, my beloved,
and your teeth jasmine;
These five flowers tip the five arrows of the god of Love;
and with them he conquers the universe.”
10.15
“Drunk with love, your eyes are languid
and your face glows like the moon;
Charming is your carriage,
firmer than plantain trees your thighs;
Your brows are lines in a fine drawing,
and you’re adept at making love.
Oh, my darling, you incarnate the heavenly nymphs
on
earth.”*
When Krishna went into battle with the war elephant of
his enemy, the demon Kansa,
The bosses on the elephant’s forehead so reminded him
of Radha’s swollen breasts
That he immediately began to sweat and blink his eyes.
“Victory! Victory! Victory” shouted Kansa,
mistaken as to what was really going on!
May Hari-Krishna grant us joy!
