Romans 1: The Basics, Let’s Dive In

- Question: Romans 1:21

“They began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like.”

- Like what? Examples, please, of how we do that in 2015.

Romans 3:5–6

Human point of view. What is a “right” way of thinking about you, God?

Answer: We study because we are human and we can easily get caught up in “our” thinking, but human thinking doesn’t make a spiritual life.

Romans 3:20

Recognizing sin is a vital step.

The call for today is centered on praise and worship. Sharing the good news of Jesus. Not hiding the truth. Worshiping God for His goodness, His faithfulness, His glory, His goodness, His love, Mercy, and perfecting power. But the first step is recognizing that God IS these things. Recognizing what sin is, and then in contrast what the opposite of that is. In essence, looking back to appreciate where you are today and recognizing God’s hand in that transition.
