STAINED SOUL

I want to be pure like my Father, but in this world today it seems harder and harder to do. See, I’ve suffered from nightmares since a youth, so no, your antics don’t scare me. I haven’t felt clean for a while. Ever since … well, you know. Taking baths everyday trying to wash the mistakes and anger away has become an intense therapy session. I heard heaven and hell were having a custody battle over me. My father birthed from original sin doesn’t seem to want to take his hands off me. The more I try to do well, the farther I seem to be from it. My adoptive Father holds back nothing when it comes to me. I am His. He doesn’t rest until I’m safe in His arms. That’s when He washes my stains away.
