QUIET

Silence is needed in order to hear well. Instructions are required in order to develop. Constant ideas, constant speaking, wrestling with flesh. All resulting in nothing. Chasing the wind. Fighting for understanding something that is limitless. You’d have to be out of your mind to get in the same car every day just to drive it into the same brick wall. Don’t you ever get tired of being sick? Of being in pain? Of crying? Of being surrounded and alone? Never-ending cycles got a lot of us making our beds in Hell. Lifeless lives trapped forever in the cells of our consciousness. We want to be free … well, some do. Others enjoy the false sense of safety that ignorance provides. Not me. So, while others drown out the sound of their demons and turn their music up loud, I make it a point to sit alone.

Make it a point to hear from the Father. To take my life to Him through prayer. I show Him what hurts, what’s broken, and then I wait. Wait for the truth. It is guaranteed to come. When I am still, when I am willing, when I am open. I realize what a sacred gift peace is. It is a heavenly thing. Peace is worth more than popularity and status. Wisdom more precious than silver and gold. Only Jesus allows you to see yourself outside of yourself. Truth is three-dimensional, closely examining all sides. Truth unblocks all barriers, and allows the captives to go free. Why then do we hide from it? We pretend we don’t see, because we have fallen in love with our prison cells.
