Leonie Agnew has published three multiple-award-winning novels for children as well as a picture book, The Importance of Green. Her debut work SuperFinn received the Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon Award in 2011 and won a Storylines Notable Book and the Best First Book Award at the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults in 2012. Conrad Cooper’s Last Stand (Puffin, 2014) won the Esther Glen Medal and a Storylines Notable Book Award in 2015. The Impossible Boy won the David Fickling Master of the Inkpot in 2015 in the UK, and in New Zealand was shortlisted for the 2017 Esther Glen Medal and won a Storylines Notable Book Award.
Formerly a copywriter for an advertising agency, Leonie divides her time between school teaching and writing. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand.
