In 2010, two sisters began dreaming of a community. They imagined women walking out of their front doors and meeting neighbors and friends where their fences intersected. They would talk over the pickets, drink coffee, swap recipes, share a great home décor idea or two, and invest in each other’s lives. This community would be where they could laugh together over their child’s latest antics and cry together over the difficult things in life. This community would be where they could talk about God and His plan for them.
We wanted to create a community that wouldn’t be limited by geography. It would be available to women each day no matter where they lived. We began meeting them online At the Picket Fence. We shared our recipes and our crafts and our hearts and our faith.
And you came. You met us there at the fence and you continue to meet us there all of these years later. So, this book is dedicated to you—our dear readers, our community, our friends.
